We have these Sunday afternoon concerts on occasion, and there is usually an offering collected to benefit one of our mission partners. It’s a great thing.

But THIS concert is posed to be extra great. This concert will benefit Frontera de Cristo, our partners working on the US/Mexico border. And our brilliant music director has shaped the music of the concert to give voice to what is currently happening on our border - the pain, the brokenness, the undeterred joy of the Mexican culture. We try to “know” what’s happening with our heads. I’m hopeful this concert might tap into our hearts.

The Peacemakers features Jane Christison, accordion and Destiny Ann Mermagen, violin, with the Village Choir, the Village Chamber Choir and soloists. The program includes “Lead Me Lord” by Will Todd and “Miss Latina” by Bobbi Fischer.
